LinkAsia is a news platform that collects and translates North Korea and Korean Peninsula-related news, and also provides contributed articles in international development and culture & arts.
AI summarizes and translates articles from major domestic and international media into Korean and English, while expert contributions deliver in-depth analysis.
Content is divided into three categories:
- Insight — North Korea & Korean Peninsula news, political analysis
- Development — International development, humanitarian aid
- Culture — North Korean culture, inter-Korean cultural exchange
We collect articles from over 15 media outlets including DailyNK, 38 North, NK News, RFA, and Tongil News.
Enter your email in the newsletter subscription section at the bottom of the homepage or on the main page.
After subscribing, a verification email will be sent. Once verified, you can receive daily or weekly news summaries.
You can choose between Korean and English.
Yes, LinkAsia supports Korean (ko) and English (en).
Collected article titles, summaries, and body text are automatically translated via AI. You can switch languages anytime using the language toggle button in the top-right corner.

- Enter your email and password
- Agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
- Complete email verification to finish registration
After signing up, you can write articles in the Development and Culture categories.
Contributors can write articles in all categories including Insight.
- After signing up as a regular member, apply for contributor status on your profile page
- Enter your pen name, bio, and area of expertise
- After admin review and approval, contributor status will be granted
Contributor privileges are added to your existing account — no need to create a separate one.
Click "Forgot Password" on the login page.
A password reset link will be sent to the email you used to sign up. You can set a new password through the link.
After logging in, click the "Write" button at the top to open the editor.
- Category selection: Regular members can write in Development and Culture / Contributors can write in all categories
- Writing: Use the rich text editor (TipTap) to freely format text, add images, and insert links
- Image upload: Use the image button in the editor toolbar (max 5MB, jpg/png/gif/webp)
- Submit: After completing your article, submit it for review before publication
Contributed articles go through the following process:
- Draft (DRAFT) — Work in progress
- Review (REVIEW) — Submitted for editor review
- Published (PUBLISHED) — Approved and visible on the site
If rejected, reasons will be provided and you can revise and resubmit.
Collected articles are news automatically gathered from external media such as DailyNK and 38 North, summarized and translated by AI.
Contributions are analysis pieces, columns, and reviews written directly by contributors or members.
Collected articles display the original source, while contributions display the author's profile.
