Contribution Terms

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms are intended to set forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between members who write contributions (hereinafter "Contributors") and Olive Tree, an incorporated association (사단법인 올리브트리) (hereinafter the "Operator"), in connection with the writing and publishing of contributions by Contributors on the Link Asia platform operated by the Operator.

Article 2 (Qualifications of Contributors)

1. Any member may write contributions, and a contributor profile (pen name) is created when the member publishes a first contribution or applies to become a contributor. While the Operator operates an approval process, contributions are posted after approval by the editor-in-chief (Article 3).
2. A Contributor shall provide accurate identity information, and if false information is provided, the Contributor's qualification may be revoked.
3. A Contributor is obligated to comply with these Terms and the Operator's editorial guidelines.

Article 3 (Writing and Publishing Contributions)

1. Contributions published by a Contributor are posted immediately. However, the Operator may switch to a method under which contributions are posted after review and approval by the editor-in-chief (the "approval process"), and shall give notice within the Service when it does so.
2. Based on the quality, accuracy, and appropriateness of a contribution, the editor-in-chief may unpublish or delete a posted contribution and, while the approval process is in operation, decides whether to approve a contribution.
3. The editor-in-chief may request revisions to the title, content, format, etc. of a contribution.
4. A Contributor shall include accurate, fact-based information in contributions.
5. Contributions may be written in Korean or English. Readers of the other language are provided with an AI-translated version that is labeled as an AI translation.

Article 4 (Copyright)

1. Copyright in a contribution written by a Contributor belongs to the Contributor.
2. The Contributor grants the Operator a non-exclusive license to reproduce, transmit, distribute, display, and create derivative works of the contribution.
3. The Operator may publish contributions within the Service and use them for AI summarization and translation services.
4. A Contributor shall not write contributions that infringe the copyright of others, and all legal liability arising therefrom lies with the Contributor.

Article 5 (Editorial Authority)

1. The Operator and the editor-in-chief may perform editing work on contributions, such as correcting typographical errors, standardizing formats, and changing titles.
2. Where the essential content of a contribution is to be changed, the Contributor will be consulted in advance.
3. The Operator may refuse to post, or may delete, a contribution where there is concern of violation of law, defamation, dissemination of false information, or the like.

Article 6 (Prohibited Acts)

A Contributor shall not engage in the following acts:

1. Writing false or unverified information as a contribution
2. Reproducing or plagiarizing the works of others without authorization
3. Slandering or defaming a specific individual or organization
4. Including political agitation, hate speech, or discriminatory content
5. Writing contributions for commercial advertising purposes

Article 7 (Restriction and Revocation of Contributor Qualifications)

1. If a Contributor violates the prohibitions in Article 6, the Operator may suspend or revoke the Contributor's qualification.
2. If a qualification is revoked, the handling of previously posted contributions shall be at the Operator's discretion.
3. A Contributor may file an objection to the suspension or revocation of qualification, and the Operator shall review the objection and make a decision.

Article 8 (Disclaimer)

1. Legal liability for the content of contributions written by a Contributor lies with the Contributor.
2. The Operator bears no liability for disputes with third parties arising from the content of a Contributor's contributions.

Article 9 (Governing Language)

This English version is provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy or conflict between the Korean and English versions, the Korean version shall prevail.
